June 16th 2009

Joe wore his Athletes Taking Action shirt today. It looked good on him of course, but that is his purpose (it just happens). The Athletes taking action shirt represents much more. It tells us how much he enjoys helping people. In Athletes taking action, Joe will help out a freshman who plays the same sport as Joe (baseball). Joe, always a good guy. I was going to lift weights at 1 with Joe at the high school today. It turns out, he had other plans. Since Joe was up until 4 last night, he slept to 1. This pushed our lifting appointment back to 2. Joe apologized profusely, and of course the apologies were accepted. How can you not forgive him, look at the kid. He had a good lifting session and got very big. He out benched me by 30 pounds, this kid is a monster. After that, I believe he went running. Joe is like the Energizer bunny (similes, you love them). Later on that night, Joe came over to my house. He pulled up, and assumed he was not invited (thinking he had made some kind of mistake). This was because I was playing volleyball with my family. Joe is always looking to point the finger at himself. He played some fantastic volleyball, until the incident. Let me set this up for you. Joe is on my team, and we are mid game. It is 13 to 17, and the other team is leading. The opposing team is serving. The ball is served, and everything is in slow motion. It is hit to Joe, and he responds by crushing it into the air. His heart speeds up. Joe is ashamed of his actions, because the ball was not going to make it over the net. I come running over. Joe and I collide. The collision was filled with blood, tears, and battle wounds. We quickly made up, and continued to play. Joe never gives up on his teammates, which is why he will be the JV soccer captain this year. We lose all of our games in volleyball, so what does Joe do? He shakes eveyone's hand and stays positive with his squad saying, "We'll get em' next time!" We then travel indoors because of inclement weather. Joseph seemed to have a decent rest of the night, taking all of his anger out on Connor. We then went into the hot tub. This is the part where Joe has his shirt off (once a post). The warm liquid surrounding his body was refreshing. He then got picked up by his sister.

JOE'S QUOTE O' THE DAY
When leaving my house, Joe displays his manners, "Thank you for having me, see you later!" This man is too good to be true.
